Discussion
- If revision history of an older deleted page is available it should not be possible to create a new page with the same name.
- How could we delete a page and its history?
This is wanted behaviour and not a bug. How else would you revert an accidentally deleted page? -- ThomasWaldmann 2005-03-22 21:09:33
Ok, now an user could restore an accidentally deleted page. Hmm I believe in 1.1 only the wiki admin was able to do a rollback of data stored in the backup dir which now is missing. May be this is better. I would prefer since someone has decided to purge the revision history on the server noone else is able to create a new page with this name only reverting should be possible. Another question I have is about AutomatedRollback. I believe it is based on backupdir and therefore it won't work now. -- ReimarBauer 2005-03-22 22:37:06
In 1.1 every known user could revert - same as in 1.3. And the only way to get completely rid of a page is to rm -r PageDir. You are right about the rollback script, it is for 1.2.
